Dr. Afroz Fatima has 11+ years of research and industry experience in multidisciplinary domains of electronics engineering and management from the regions of India and Canada. Dr. Afroz has led cross functional teams with various International clients from the USA, UK and EMEA region. Her areas of expertise include Neuromorphic Computing, System on Chip, Autonomous Vehicles, VLSI and Embedded Systems – Architectures and Applications. She is a Chartered Engineer registered with the UK Engineering Council through the Institution of Engineering and Technology. She is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher at IIT Madras in the ‘Shakti SoC – AI/ML accelerator’ project funded by ICSR (MeitY) since July 2025 onwards. She is also involved as R & D Consultant for topics of electronics engineering and management from Nov 2023 onwards. Currently, she is working on an open-source collaborative project on Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design coordinated by IMEC Belgium, KU Leuven under the M17 project. 

Since 2011, she has served the following research labs and industries on leadership and technical roles – IIT Hyderabad (India), BITS Pilani (India), Mosaic (Canada), Western University (Canada), SD International (Canada), Avaya (India), Anewa (India). She was awarded PhD in Neuromorphic Computing from BITS Pilani, India; PG in Project Management from Lawrence Kinlin School of Business, Canada; M.Tech in Embedded Systems from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, India; B.E. in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Osmania University Hyderabad, India. She was awarded gold and silver medals towards academic excellence during Masters and Bachelors studies. She is the recipient of multiple renowned international awards and fellowships. Currently, she also contributes as the TPC member, reviewer, author/co-author of multiple International Journals and Conferences.
